Is it legal to use e-cigs in your country?
Rules vary including restaurants, airlines, and regions
The legality of electronic cigarettes is so variable that you should always consult with your local laws. For example, some airliners prohibit ecigs since they look like real cigarettes and produce what looks like smoke. Restaurants may have the same rules. In the US, legality of electronic cigarettes varies on a state-by-state basis. New Jersey treats them as tobacco products, Pennsylvania is working to restrict them, and they can't be sold to minors in New Hampshire. New York and Arizona plan bans of e-cigarettes, and Washington's King County does not allow their use in public places or sales to minors. Other countries like Australia, Brazil, Canada, Panama, and Singapore have banned them outright or placed restrictions on them.
